Here’s a description of the services we provide here at Kardiac Lifesavers.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR Card)
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) is a combination of rescue breathing and chest compressions delivered to victims thought to be in cardiac arrest. When cardiac arrest occurs, the heart stops pumping blood. CPR can support a small amount of blood flow to the heart and brain to “buy time” until normal heart function is restored.
AED
The automated external defibrillator (AED) is a computerized medical device. An AED can check a person’s heart rhythm. It can recognize a rhythm that requires a shock. And it can advise the rescuer when a shock is needed. The AED uses voice prompts, lights and text messages to tell the rescuer the steps to take.
AEDs are very accurate and easy to use. With a few hours of training, anyone can learn to operate an AED safely. There are many different brands of AEDs, but the same basic steps apply to all of them. The AHA does not recommend a specific model.
CPR & AED
Learning both CPR and how to properly use an AED is the most complete way to be ready to protect lives in moments of crisis. It is recommended that you be trained in both, and Kardiac Lifesavers is ready to get you prepared.
We teach the most current life-saving practices for both procedures, and each class is filled with hands-on learning time. Know-how like this builds confidence, and being confident in your abilities is key when it comes to something so important as this. Let Kardiac Lifesavers get you to there.
